If I could get a job ….
Out of work and finding it difficult to gain employment?
Feeling the strain of the knock backs and you feel you may as well give in? I mean what´s the point anyway, there’s just too much competition, and someone else always gets the job that you apply for.
Have you ever thought that maybe you’re chasing after the wrong type of work for you that your heart is just not in it? Does the job your after use your natural talents and capabilities?
Is the job your after something you feel passionate about acquiring? Are you willing to get up each day and give the job entailed 100% of your complete attention, no matter what is going on around you in your personal life?
The chances are if you are just after a job for the sake of paying your bills then you are only going to put in the minimum amount of effort required to accomplish your work duties each day.
An employer will be looking for someone who will help the company grow, make life easier for them otherwise they would not be a vacancy in the first place. You may not be displaying the character traits that they are looking for, the match they require to take you on.
Remember it costs them a lot of money to find the right candidate to fill the position that they are offering, advertising fees, interviewing, and training all costs money and they will just move onto the next person who is showing willingness and motivation to help them with their mission. The next time you go on a job interview ask yourself this…
What is it that you can do to help them, how can you be of service to this company or person?
Do your homework, background research on the job you are applying for and the company and see what you can do that will be of benefit to fulfill all of their requirements.
Write it all down. Be enthusiastic, be prepared, ask them what they would like you to do, respond with all that you could and would like to do for them, smile all the time, be confident of your abilities and the next time you go on your job interview, the job could be yours! Imagine how great that would feel, getting the job you want.
